It’s probably hard for children to cope with sudden loss of someone who is very important or very close to them. Mrs. Raccoon taught Chester Raccoon a special way to cheer up. Parents can use the same method to coach children.


What can parents do at home with children to learn life cycle vividly? Grow a seed together! Here are the materials you will need:

  1. 3 container

  2. Several seeds

  3. Some soil

  4. A seed Observation Journal (please see attachment)


Directions:

  1. Put the soil into each container.

  2. Buried the seeds evenly into the containers.

  3. Put one container under the sun without giving any water; put the second container under the sun, and spray water as needed; put the third container under a shaded area, and add water as needed.

  4. Record your observations everyday with your child.
